This year Refuels supported the 10th annual 12 mile charity walk in Shropshire. Led by a number of young farmers, over 100 employees of the RAC, their families and service partners, in support of MIND and the Midlands Air Ambulance.

MIND supports over 513,000 people across the UK, struggling with a vast range of mental health issues. Their services are not limited to advice but also includes housing, crisis helplines, drop-in centres, employment and training schemes, counselling and befriending. Refuels and many of our service partners believe in supporting our employees and creating a safe space to talk about mental health. MIND has great resources in guidance how to do this, removing the taboo of mental health in the workplace.

The Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is a vital service which is responsible for 6 communities in the Midlands, and secondary cover for areas such as Warwickshire and mid Wales.  Making it the largest air operating region in the UK, and also the busiest. These air ambulances can reach 90% of the region within 8 minutes, a commodity for responding to traumatic incidents, medical emergencies and being able to reach remote locations which are unreachable via land.
